What varieties does Brandt's Fruit Trees, Inc.® sell?
Brandt's Fruit Trees, Inc.® sells cherries, apples, and pears. We also work with outside nurseries to offer our customers a wide variety of peaches, nectarines and plums.
What trees will grow in our area?
We always suggest you contact your local County Extension Agent or a nursery in your area for information on the growing requirements for your area. Your local library is also a good source for information.
What is the best fertilizer and herbicide to use?
We do not give recommendations on fertilizers and herbicides.
When is the best time to order and when will I get the trees?
Order as early as possible because the hottest varieties are sold out fast. We deliver once a year starting in March and finishing the season in May. We use UPS to ship our small orders and common carrier for larger orders.
How much does shipping cost?
The average UPS is $40.00 ground. There is also a boxing charge which will depend on the size of the order. The minimum charge is $5.00. For large orders we ship common carrier (such as USF Reddaway) and the rate is passed directly to the customer.
Do I need pollenizers for my trees?
Most apple, pear, and cherry varieties need pollenizers.
How many pollenizers do I need?
The rule of thumb is at least 10% of the total trees need to be pollenizers.
Do you sell to home gardeners?
Yes - when stock is available. Cost is $15.00 per tree (plus tax for WA residents) and any applicable shipping and boxing charges.
How big are your trees?
Our trees are grown on 2 year rootstock with one year tops. They will range in size from 3/8 to 3/4 caliper.
